E450 DC e-power is a robust scarifier with a working width of 45 cm. The machine comes standard with Double CutTM blades. These are ultra-fine blades that are also mounted with a limited spacing of only 15 mm from each other. As a result, these blades comb through the turf intensively. ELIET scarifiers are known for their Permanently Sharp BladesTM. These are self-sharpening blades that wear down through scarification but never lose their sharp tip. This ensures that the grabbing force of the blades remains unchanged throughout their life and the raking efficiency is not affected by blade wear. To ensure precision of work, the working depth setting is infinitely and very precisely adjustable.
A concentrate of power and technology
Thanks to the battery-powered electric motor, the machine enjoys all the advantages of an electric motor and the freedom of a gasoline engine. With 3200 W of power, the scarifier has more than the power a garden professional would expect to cut through turf thoroughly and quickly.
EGO’s battery power cell has about the same installation size as a gasoline engine. The batteries are easily removable and LEDs on the batteries indicate the status of power consumption.
In addition, the user can easily work with one or more batteries, even of different capacities, and without worrying about the rest; The motor unit will exploit the available energy by balancing its consumption automatically. The LCD display contains useful information about the status of the batteries used and the remaining range. The engine speed can also be adapted to the requirements of the job thanks to a potentiometer on the dashboard of the engine unit.
Vertical belt tensioner
To engage the blades, ELIET uses its renowned Vertical Belt Tensioner™. The battery motor is lifted up when the blades are switched on, putting tension on the drive belt without the use of an idler pulley. This minimizes wear and the risk of belt breakage, making the machine highly reliable in operation.
This unique belt tensioning process gives ELIET scarifiers a real advantage in terms of performance and service life, this ultimately simple system does not require the use of sliding cables, tensioning pulleys, and any other additional tricks that can wear out quickly and cause harmful pressures and overheating on the drive belt.
Permanent Sharp Blades™
The special treatment of the blades provides a self-sharpening effect. Because of this effect, the sharp tip, which provides the grabbing power of the blades, will not diminish through wear and tear. As a result, the performance of the machine does not decrease and the raking efficiency always remains constant.
Few scarifier blades can boast of remaining effective and perfectly sharp throughout their life. At ELIET, the designers have long understood the essential role that this tip plays in work efficiency and have given the knives a special treatment that allows them to withstand a minimum of 100 hours of work, while remaining as effective as new blades.
These very thin and resistant Double Cut™ blades are positioned with a 60° offset between them and a spacing of only 15 mm, which allows efficient cleaning of the lawn surface. Thanks to the particular efficiency of this system, the blades will grip more material while minimizing damage to the ground, which in itself is an additional guarantee of efficiency. In addition, the use of this type of blades does not require deep work and avoids additional passes. Time saving – efficiency gain!
Front and rear height adjustment
Accurately determining the working depth will be decisive for the quality of the work and to minimise damage to the lawn. The engineers at ELIET are well aware of this, and that is why they have equipped several adjustment options.
The main working depth can be adjusted quickly and continuously by rotating front adjustment knobs, coupled to a locking lever reformed by a locking spring. This main working depth can be adjusted in millimetric order without the need for any tools.
To allow the E450 E-Power scarifier to achieve its mission of doing the best possible job while minimizing wear, ground damage and energy consumption, its rear wheels are also equipped with 3 adjustment positions to allow it to maintain the most horizontal posture possible in order to compensate for the natural wear of the knives and to guarantee their tip maximum grip, and in all circumstances.
Quality wheels with scrappers
The machine is equipped with solid quality wheels. The aluminum rim with big double ball bearings and natural rubber tread ensures minimal rolling resistance on the grass, even if the grass is high. These double ball bearings also provide firm support from the wheels to the chassis to completely inhibit play that would handicap user comfort and cleaning performance.
The four wheels of the E450 E-Power scarifier are the same dimension and all equipped with scrapers. This is to prevent the clogging of the wheels, which would gain in thickness, and which would negatively influence the working depth, which would be distorted.
Foldable handle for a quick storage
In order to limit its size during storage or transport, the handle of the E450 E-Power can be folded easily and without the need for any tools: two clamping knobs hold the handlebars firmly to the chassis, and there is no risk of losing these knobs thanks to a device limiting their loosening.
Optional spacious collection bag
Manual raking of moss and felt is an unpleasant operation that can be replaced by the use of the optional 60L collection kit. Thus, time can be easily saved for the collection of residues in order to dispose of them directly.
This optional pick-up kit also consists of a metal triangular deflector that is affixed under the chassis close to the rotor of the knives; Its purpose is to convey and force the collection of the material to the collection bag.
